Job Description Binding Minds is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements ~ Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry ~ Discipline: RN ~ Start Date: 08/04/2025 ~ Duration: 13 weeks ~36 hours per week ~ Shift: 12 hours, nights ~ Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Med Surg | Nights | 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12s) Location: Nashville, TN Start Date: August 4, 2025 Contract Length: 13 weeks Experience Required: Minimum 2 years Pay: $2,096.70/week (based on 36 hours) • $17/hr taxable • $1,484.70/week stipend (non-taxable) Unit Details: • 25-bed Med Surg unit • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4–1:5 • Support staff includes unit secretaries and PRN techs • Equipment: Welch Allyn VS carts, Hoyer lifts, Broda chairs, Alaris IV pumps • EMR: Meditech • Required weekend shifts: 4 per 4-week period • Floating: Will float before core staff Clinical Requirements: • Must be comfortable with general assessments, post-op care, and managing: – Wounds, tracheostomies, ostomies, drains, chest tubes – Dialysis patients and PCA pumps • Post-op care includes: amputations, wound vacs, and ostomy management • Only IV drip used: Heparin Certifications Required: • BLS, ACLS • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) • COVID-19 vaccination required Patient Care Standards: • Bedside shift reports • Hourly safety rounds • Emphasis on communication, responsiveness, and patient experience • 100% med scanning compliance • Adherence to fall and infection prevention protocols Dress Code: • Scrubs in navy, blue, black, white, gray, or ceil blue Team Culture: Supportive leadership, experienced charge RNs, and a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
