A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed for an elementary school setting in Maple Lake, MN. This position focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to a resource classroom with two Setting III students, serving a caseload of 9-11 students from kindergarten through 6th grade. The role begins with a workshop week starting on 8/26/25 and continues until the position is filled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored educational curriculum to students with diverse disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Other Health Disabilities (OHD), and Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
• Manage case responsibilities for assigned students, ensuring that individual education plans (IEPs) are implemented effectively.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in both resource and inclusive settings.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents, support staff, and administration.
• Participate actively in ongoing professional development and workshop opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching licensure with a specialization in Special Education.
• Preference given to candidates with an Approved Behavior Specialist (ABS) credential.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with ASD, OHD, and EBD.
• Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads and curriculum planning.
• Ability to foster a positive, supportive learning environment.

Location:Maple Lake, MN

Schedule:Full-time, 40 hours per week

This is a contract position aligned with the 2025-2026 school year, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational experiences in a resource classroom setting.
