As the Global Fulfillment Center Site Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing all operational and strategic aspects of our fulfillment center. You'll be responsible for achieving budgetary goals, enhancing team development, and driving operational excellence. Your leadership will ensure that our dedicated team of Operations and Area Managers thrives, fostering a positive workplace culture while meeting performance objectives. Key Responsibilities: Champion quality and process improvement initiatives, employing Lean methodologies to help the fulfillment center exceed its operational goals. Oversee overall safety, quality, and performance metrics for either Inbound or Outbound operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Set clear expectations for Operations and Area Managers, delivering regular performance feedback and holding them accountable for their departmental outcomes. Encourage innovation by empowering Operations and Area Managers to present ideas and develop actionable improvement plans. Facilitate the sharing of best practices across departments and shifts to continuously enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and Senior Operations Managers) to secure resources and support for various initiatives and projects. Physical Requirements: Lift and move totes weighing up to 49 pounds. Engage in frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, both high and low. Walk throughout the fulfillment center, which spans over a quarter mile, averaging 5 miles daily. Capable of working in environments that may be noisy or lacking temperature control. Access all building areas, including ladders and stairs, safely and without limitation. Basic Qualifications: Completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or at least 2 years of Amazon work experience. Over 7 years of direct management experience with salaried teams in manufacturing, production, or distribution environments. Proficient in performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques. Experience managing the full staffing lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, and terminations. Flexibility to work varied hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field; MBA is a plus. Experience managing a contingent workforce during peak seasons. Able to manage changing priorities effectively and demonstrate sound judgment under pressure. Interest in pursuing long-term career development across multiple fulfillment centers nationwide.
