Job Description

We are looking for a Farm Hand to assist with the daily operations of our farm. While our cut flower business operates on a portion of the farm, this role will encompass responsibilities for the entire property, including field maintenance, irrigation systems, tree care, infrastructure upkeep, and the care of pet livestock and their facilities.

Agriculture or Horticulture college students are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities:

• Field & Bed Preparation : Soil preparation, composting, mulching, and planting areas for flower production and general farm operations
• Irrigation & Water Management : operation and maintenance of irrigation systems
• Tree & Shrub Management : Prune, plant, fertilize, and overall care of trees and shrubs
• Harvesting & Post-Harvest Handling : Harvest flowers and other crops to ensure quality and efficiency
• Pet Livestock Care & Facility Maintenance : Assist with upkeep, cleaning, and maintenance of barns, stalls, fencing, and related facilities for pet livestock
• Ensure proper feeding, health monitoring, and welfare of animals (feeding animals, collecting eggs, reporting on health changes, etc.)
• Horticulture & Landscaping : Assist in maintaining the farm’s visual appeal by managing ornamental plants, trees, and landscaped areas
• Assist in designing and implementing planting plans to enhance the farm’s environment
• Pest & Disease Control : Assist with pest management (IPM) strategies

Agriculture and/or Horticulture experience is a plus!

Pay :  $15.00 per hour

Part-Time :  10 hours per week

Schedule :  Monday - Friday, 2 hours per day
