Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30), Every Other Weekend

\n\nJob Description\n

The Float RN will provide care to patients in the High Acuity Intensive Care Unit (HICU), Brain Health Unit (BHU), and Burk 2 Long-Term Care Ventilator unit. Responsibilities include monitoring critically ill patients requiring complex care, including telemetry and ventilator support. Nurses will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Provide direct patient care to those in the HICU, BHU, and Burk 2 units.
\n
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
\n
• Implement and evaluate care plans for critically ill patients.
\n
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to assist with patient care.
\n
• Assist with complex wound care, ventilator management, and respiratory interventions.
\n
• Engage in patient and family education regarding care plans and health management.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an LTAC or ICU setting.
\n
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
\n
• Previous charge experience preferred.
\n
• Experience with Cerner charting system is required.
\n
• Experience in LTAC and Trauma Level I settings preferred.
\n
• Strong skills in managing medications, ventilator support, and critical patient care.
\n
