Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position with a VA or compact RN license and strong neonatal assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 10-bed NICU caring for neonates 28 weeks and older
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float required within the New Life Center and to outside NICU units as needed
• Possible on-call up to 24 hours in a 6-week period
• Every other weekend and major holiday coverage required
• Utilizes equipment such as bubble CPAP, ventilators, umbilical lines, PIVs, and Epic EMR
• Care for neonates requiring diverse interventions including bubble CPAP, ventilators, umbilical lines, and resuscitation
• Team-based environment focused on neonatal and family-centered care
• First time travelers may be considered
• Holiday shifts required as part of the rotating schedule
• No dysrhythmia exam required prior to start
• Previous travel experience preferred but not mandatory
• Scrub color or dress code details not specified

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; proof of address required for consideration
• EKG test to be passed on the first day, with two attempts permitted
