Company Description Milieu Children’s Center is a pediatric therapy and educational center based in South Miami, FL, specializing in speech-language and occupational therapy, as well as developmental support for all children. Our approach is play-based and neuro-affirming, tailored to each child’s unique strengths and developmental profile. This center promotes holistic development by addressing social-emotional, cognitive, communication, and regulation skills within individual and group-based programs. Role Description The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at Milieu Children’s Center will have a dual position:

• participate as an assistant classroom interventionist within our specialized preschool alternative program Monday through Friday from 9am-1pm.
• assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in assessing and treating clients with speech and language disorders; afternoon scheduling will be mutually agreed upon and vary based on center demands and clinician availability; possible schedule will be Monday through Thursday 2pm-6pm

Daily responsibilities in both roles include implementing personalized plans, documenting client progress, and supporting communication skill development in children. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Miami, FL.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Communication and Communication Disorders
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children in a child-led, play-based environment
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, clinicians and families
• Associate degree in a Speech-Language Pathology program or related field
• SLPA certification or eligibility for certification preferred
• Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish are a plus
