Service Manager - HVAC
Position Overview The Service Manager - HVAC will oversee the daily operations of the HVAC service department, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients. This role involves managing technicians, optimizing service procedures, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations while striving for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities - Supervise and lead a team of HVAC technicians to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Schedule and assign service calls and maintenance tasks to technicians.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations in all HVAC service operations.
- Provide training and support to technicians on HVAC systems, including split systems, cooling towers, RTUs, and VRFs.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of service staff and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving customer satisfaction and service efficiency.
- Manage inventory and ordering of HVAC parts and equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in HVAC preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC service management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including split systems, cooling towers, RTUs, and VRFs.
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations regarding HVAC operations.
