Airport Security Officer

Position Type: Part Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Job Schedule: Day

Time: Tue 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM Wed 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to questions and offering assistance as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access or behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter security-related incidents and report any suspicious activity.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required, including following evacuation procedures and supporting first responders.
• Communicate professionally with team members, location staff, and the public to maintain a positive environment and uphold Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
