Turner Industries Group is looking for a Sa fety Trainer for work in the Whiting IN area. The Trainer position is responsible for conducting training programs for employees. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Site Manager / Department Manager; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies.

• No per diem

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum one (3) year of experience or equivalent combinations of experience and training in training topic / subject
• Minimum of one year of experience in the conducting training courses and subject presentations
• Knowledge of business machines computers and/or software applications
• Candidate may be required to have knowledge of computer software such as Google Workspace JD Edwards and other software as needed
• Must possess excellent communication interpersonal organizational and problem-solving skills; Candidate also must be able to multi-task and perform duties without constant supervision
• Must be able to think analytically and conceptually do basic math and statistics and be proficient in writing and research methods
• Skilled in interpersonal relations and group dynamics
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen physical evaluation and signed acceptance of the Turner Drug Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:

May be required to do the following: reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; carrying objects tools equipment etc.; standing / sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; typing / data entry; stepstool use; lifting 10 - 15 pounds periodically; walking up / down stairs
