About the role We are seeking a highly skilled React Native Lead Developer with 7 to 10 years of experience specializing in React Native to join our dynamic team. The role involves designing and implementing innovative solutions in a hybrid work model. The candidate will play a critical role in enhancing our mobile applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and user experience. In this role, you will: Design and develop scalable mobile applications using React Native to enhance user experience and meet business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features that align with company goals. Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications by conducting rigorous testing and optimization. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to maintain application stability and reliability. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve application performance and user experience. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Work closely with product management to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Implement best practices for coding, testing and deployment to ensure high-quality deliverables. Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to industry standards. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs and a seamless user interface. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects to facilitate knowledge sharing and future development. Engage in regular team meetings to discuss project progress challenges and solutions. Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the mobile platform ensuring scalability and flexibility. What you need to have to be considered Possess a strong understanding of React Native and its core principles with proven experience in developing mobile applications. Demonstrate proficiency in JavaScript including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model. Exhibit experience with popular React Native workflows such as Redux, Flux or MobX. Show familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back‑end services. Have a solid understanding of mobile application development lifecycle and best practices. Display excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Applications will be accepted until November 31st, 2025 Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $120.500 - $135.000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
