Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist/ Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist to join our Global Supply Chain team of qualified, diverse individuals in El Segundo, CA or Rancho Bernardo (San Diego), CA . Please note this role is 100% ON-SITE and cannot support hybrid work. Location : ONSITE in El Segundo or San Diego, CA Schedule : 9/80 work schedule – with every other Friday OFF! Essential Functions: Source and procure complex, specialized goods and services. Owns contractual management for the supplier. Responsible for subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout phases. Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as legal, contracts, finance, planning, operations, program management, engineering, and quality. As part of a cross-functional team, monitor and manage schedule, cost, technical, and quality performance of suppliers in support of US Government programs. Interface with supplier leadership teams to motivate and drive excellence in contractual performance. Job Duties: Responsible for subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout phases Manage supplier performance throughout the subcontracting lifecycle Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and public law requirements, as well as company policies and procedures Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders Contribute to Program Risk and Opportunity management Be a self-starter with a bias toward action and problem solving Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally Utilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement Basic Qualifications (Subcontract Specialist): Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience, or Masters with 0 years, or High School Diploma with 6 years of experience Experience in Procurement, Subcontracts, Contracts, Proposals, Sustainment, Program Integration, Project Management, or related fields Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with SAP/MRP or similar business software Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable timeframe Basic Qualifications (Principal Subcontract Specialist): Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience, or Masters with 3 years, or High School Diploma with 9 years Experience as above Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with SAP/MRP or similar software Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable timeframe Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations Experience managing suppliers on US Government contracts Experience working within a government-approved purchasing system Familiarity with NGAS Subcontracting terms and conditions Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00 Salary Range 2: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00 The above salary ranges are guidelines; actual offers depend on various factors including experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differentials, and bonuses.
