Job Description

Job Description: Bristow Group is continuously seeking top talent to join our team. Applications are now being accepted for VFR helicopter pilots to provide support to the offshore oil & gas industry. This Captain position works a 5 on, 2 off schedule (Monday through Friday) in support of contracts, based in Houma, Louisiana. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate assigned aircraft safely and efficiently, in strict compliance with Bristow operational standards and all applicable regulations. Prioritize safety and customer service in all actions, both inside and outside the aircraft. Maintain situational awareness regarding weather, NOTAMs, sea state, and offshore facility status. Manage passenger and aircraft movements, briefings, and baggage loading to ensure safety and compliance. Complete flight planning paperwork, preflight checks, fueling, and manifesting oversight. Keep accurate records, including journey logs, flight and duty sheets, and aircraft logs. Report aircraft irregularities and ensure airworthiness before, during, and after flights. Communicate professionally with customers and represent Bristow appropriately. Primarily operate in the GOM offshore region, with availability for other locations as needed. Stay updated on operational and safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pilot or Operations Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Meet the requirements of 14 CFR 135.243. Hold a first-class medical certificate. Possess an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Helicopter Instrument Rating. At least 1500 hours helicopter PIC time. 100 helicopter flight hours in the past 12 months. Complete the screening questionnaire for eligibility. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized with the ability to handle a large workload. Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One year of experience in the offshore oil and gas environment. ATP certification. 200 offshore hours, or 100 hours with 50 in the last 12 months (offshore hours include travel to/from vessels, platforms, helidecks, or oil rigs). 25 hours on A119 aircraft.
