Qualifications Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related discipline with emphasis on optical communications and high-speed optical components. Candidates with significant industrial experience in the optical components industry are preferred. Responsibilities Design RF and electro-optical devices using RF design, simulation, and modeling tools such as HFSS and ADS. Conduct RF device testing, electrical/optical s-parameter measurements, and be familiar with optical component testing methodologies, including equipment setup, algorithms, and sensitivity analysis. Possess a strong background with semiconductor optical devices such as lasers, detectors, modulators, and other integrated waveguide devices, along with a working understanding of associated electronic circuitry. Understand optical component design for performance and reliability, especially devices like lasers, SOAs, high-speed modulators, and detectors. Create designed experiments to map device performance. Work effectively in an integrated team environment. Handle large datasets, perform statistical analysis, and present data and ideas to diverse audiences. Collaborate regularly with fabrication, testing, reliability engineering, packaging, system engineering, and product engineering groups. #J-18808-Ljbffr Nokia
