Office Manager – Private Medical Practice

We are a private medical practice seeking a self-motivated and innovative Office Manager to join our team at our Salisbury location . This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys thinking outside of the box to improve operations and deliver exceptional administrative support.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees-hear and resolve grievances, counsel and discipline employees as needed.
  • Report any unresolved grievances or disciplinary issues to Practice Manager and HR Manager as soon as possible.
  • Make sure the office runs smoothly daily.
  • Ensure employees fulfill job descriptions and update job descriptions/requirements as needed.
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager and HR to create, update and implement policies and procedures.
  • Hire new employees for vacant positions and explain policies, procedures, benefits, paperwork and handbook to new hires.
  • Handle all onboarding for new staff members.
  • Coordinate and oversee training of new staff members.
  • Hold highest standards of "confidentiality' when working with employee information, issues or grievances.
  • Assist HR with all "requests for time off" forms and ensure proper coverage when needed.
  • Inform appropriate staff of call outs and ensure coverage. Make sure employees are moved to the most productive duties when short staffed.
  • Order all Medical supplies and office supplies.
  • Oversee building and facility maintenance.
  • Extra duties as requested by doctor or Practice manager to facilitate patient care and smooth running of the office.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing a medical office.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
