Job Description

Provides clinical support to health care professionals to ensure the delivery of quality health care services. In urgent care, the environment is fast paced with a variety of patients. Responsibilities include facilitating efficient and effective patient flow, preparing patients for visits/admissions, performing administrative duties including maintenance and monitoring of electronic health records, maintaining and cleaning the work environment and equipment, greeting and communicating with patients and healthcare team members, collecting and monitoring patient data, documenting care and chargeable items/services, ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency of processes and services, engaging in process and quality improvement activities, and continuous professional development including required training and education. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a competency-based orientation program, preferred 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, and required certification as a Medical Assistant and Basic Life Support within 120 days.
