The Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety. The Medical Assistant performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic’s mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Work shift is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm with the majority of the hours between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. This position may include intermittent travel to Ladysmith Center location as needed on a limited basis, as well as to Chippewa Center no more than 1-2 times per week if needed. Job qualifications include education and experience requirements for Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant, including graduation from a Medical Assistant program or equivalent coursework, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Preferred qualifications include healthcare experience and BLS certification at time of hire. The role requires maintaining patient confidentiality and supporting providers in patient care planning.
