We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on mechanical systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of construction projects, with a team that values collaboration, innovation, and quality work. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems in construction projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems in construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed mechanical systems.
• Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to accurately estimate costs.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and present cost reports and analyses to management and clients.
• Participate in proposal presentations and negotiations.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, codes, and regulations related to mechanical systems in construction.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available for projects.
• Use computer software to prepare estimates and maintain a database of project costs.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in construction, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Proficient in estimating software and other industry-related technology.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best prices for materials and services.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
