Position Summary:

Electro-Mechanical Corporation, a leading manufacturer of quality electrical equipment, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong electrical experience to support our Bristol, VA facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on machinery and equipment, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems and controls.
• Read and interpret electrical prints, wiring schematics, and line diagrams to perform repairs and installations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, and air-powered hand tools, multimeters, ampere meters, welders, forklifts, overhead hoists, and manlifts.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and large project layouts.
• Assist with installation, removal, and layout of industrial control devices and equipment.
• Train other associates in safety procedures, equipment operations, and standard work instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area, adhering to housekeeping and safety standards.
• Support special work assignments and projects as directed by the department manager.
• Be available for overtime and flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including working knowledge of control systems, wiring, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Ability to perform maintenance duties with minimal supervision.
• Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of programmable controllers.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Forklift, overhead hoist, and manlift operation (FPTC training/certification required or ability to obtain).
• Proficient in reading prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and manipulate tools, parts, and equipment as required.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with dust, noise, and varying conditions.
