Investment Intern

Spring or Summer Internship

Overview

Heritage Wealth Advisors seeks highly motivated interns to provide support for our Investment Advisory team led by the Research Manager to implement the Firm’s investment research process. The Investment Intern assists the Research Manager in the areas of strategic and tactical asset allocation, manager due diligence, security analysis, preparation of client deliverables, and product development. The Investment Intern contributes to the execution and enhancement of the Firm’s Investment Advisory Services offering.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Research macroeconomic themes and asset classes to assist with strategic and tactical asset allocations for client portfolios.
• Assist with ongoing due diligence on managers utilized by the Firm in client portfolios.
• Assist with the selection of new managers as needed.
• Assist with monitoring of the Firm’s internally managed stock portfolios.
• Assist with preparation of Investment Policy Committee materials.
• Maintain investment-related client deliverables, including the Firm’s standard pitchbook materials and supplements.
• Assist with preparation of market outlook slides for inclusion in client performance reports.
• Assist with research projects, product development, and investment operations tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate, junior or senior year students in relevant subjects (e.g. finance, economics).
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Minimum commitment of 15-20 hours a week, in-person, with opportunity for additional hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Intellectually curious, organized, excellent analytical, and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with a desire to work collaboratively.
