Job Overview  

We are seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented Entry-Level Front End Developer to join our growing development team! The ideal candidate has a passion for music, games, and programming, shows curiosity and initiative, and is excited to learn how to create interactive web applications using modern front-end frameworks such as Vue or React. In this role, you will work closely with experienced developers who will provide guidance and mentorship as you help build interactive applications that work across all modern browsers. Success in this position requires a willingness to learn, creative problem solving, attention to detail, and the drive to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the development of interactive web applications under the guidance of senior team members. 
  • Collaborate with designers, animators, and artists to help implement UI designs. 
  • Manage multiple small tasks with support from your team. 
  • Write, maintain, document, and test code as part of the development process. 
  • Assist with larger infrastructure or feature projects as part of a cross-functional team. 
  • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and project planning sessions, with a focus on learning and growth

Requirements

Fast learner with genuine enthusiasm for front-end development and a desire to grow professionally. ? Open to feedback, able to take direction, and willing to ask questions.

Foundational knowledge of: 

  • JavaScript / TypeScript 
  • Vue or React (coursework, personal projects, or internships welcome) 
  • HTML / CSS / SCSS 
  • Node.js & NPM 
  • Basic familiarity with build tools such as Vite or Webpack. 
  • Comfortable using Git for version control. 

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)  

  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles (classroom knowledge acceptable). 
  • Experience or coursework involving the Web Audio API. 
  • Exposure to music theory and/or notation. 
  • Experience building small games or interactive demos (Phaser, Three.js, or similar frameworks). 
  • Familiarity with C# and/or MySQL. 
  • Exposure to testing tools such as Cypress or other unit testing frameworks.

This job role is not a remote work position. All employees must live within commuting distance of Music Row in Nashville. We are currently requiring all team members to work at minimum 3 days a week in the office on the QuaverEd campus and allowing 2 days remote. This requirement is subject to change at the discretion of the team member's Supervisor and company policies. QuaverEd is not currently accepting H-1B visa applicants.
