Job Description

The Construction Field Engineer supports site operations by providing technical assistance, documentation control, and coordination between the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers. The role ensures that construction activities are carried out according to specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate and track Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and shop drawings.
• Perform site inspections to ensure work is performed per plans, specs, and quality standards.
• Support project layout and surveying efforts.
• Work closely with superintendents and subcontractors to resolve field issues.
• Maintain and update project documentation, logs, and reports (e.g., daily field reports, material tracking).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and assist with site safety protocols.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to short-interval planning.
• Assist with change order documentation and quantity takeoffs.
• Utilize construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar) for reporting and coordination.
