Costume Designer

Under the general guidance of the Cultural Arts Manager, the Costume Designer plays a pivotal role in crafting the visual identity of the production. With creativity and precision, the Designer will design, source, and meticulously execute all costumes, ensuring they not only embody the artistic vision of the performance but also reflect historical accuracy when required. Balancing practicality with artistry, the Costume Designer will navigate budgetary and time constraints to bring captivating characters to life on stage.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have previous costume design experience in community, educational, or professional theatre.

• Strong sewing, alteration, and garment construction skills required.

• Knowledge of historical and contemporary fashion, textiles, and fabric treatment desired.

Compensation for this position is a stipend of $500 paid in increments based on production schedule.
