Communications & Events Director - Chatham Baptist Church Chatham Baptist Church (CBC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Communications & Events Director to lead our communication efforts and special events with creativity, integrity, and a heart for ministry. This role is vital in fostering a sense of family, unity, and purpose within our church community while sharing the love of Christ with the surrounding area. Responsibilities Spiritual Leadership Maintain a disciplined, holy walk with God, modeling faith, trust, and obedience in a dynamic relationship with Christ. Foster an atmosphere of family, unconditional Christ-like love, and unity within the CBC community. Model integrity in leadership and uphold Christ-like values. Be accountable to God through prayer, led by the Holy Spirit, and to the Senior Pastor, Personnel Committee, CBC policies, and the Baptist Faith and Message 1963. Special Events Serve as the key event planner for CBC’s special events, providing leadership and planning skills to successfully execute and promote events that engage our congregation and community. Internal Communications Create and distribute the CBC newsletter and Sunday bulletin, ensuring accuracy and engagement. Coordinate and deliver fun, engaging Sunday morning announcements. Manage and update church bulletin boards and the church calendar. Maintain CBC’s website with weekly updates to serve as a valuable tool for members. External Communications Manage CBC’s social media platforms, creating regular, compelling content and posts. Design event images and marketing materials to promote CBC holidays and special events to the community. Oversee the posting of weekly sermons to CBC’s YouTube channel. Qualifications Evangelical Christian with a demonstrated Christ-like character and a passion for ministry. Experience in event planning, communications, public relations, and/or marketing. Strong administrative skills to plan and execute projects effectively. Higher education degree preferred.
