Primary Responsibilities:

• • Precision Machining :

  • Operate and maintain CNC machines including lathes, mills, mill/turn machines, grinders, shapers, gear cutters, etc.

  • Perform operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, drilling, and grinding.

• Blueprint Interpretation :

• Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical drawings to determine specifications like dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, and sequences.

• Machine Setup and Operation :

• Set up and calibrate machines based on required parameters including feed rates, speeds, and tool positioning.

• Use a variety of CNC controls such as  Mazatrol, Fanuc, Siemens (must know at least two systems).

• Inspection and Quality Control :

• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, calipers, etc.) to inspect parts and ensure they meet specified tolerances.

• Assist the Quality Control team in identifying and reporting defects or deviations.

• Maintenance and Safety :

• Conduct basic preventive maintenance on equipment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Collaboration and Communication :

• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and production control to resolve issues.

• Report production and quality concerns promptly.

• Cross-Training :

• Learn to operate various CNC equipment types to increase flexibility and utility within the team.

• Scheduling & Timeliness :

• Adhere to production schedules and ensure timely part creation per organizational standards.
