Job Description

Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute is looking to hire part-time CDL Bus Drivers for for 8 hours on the weekends. Located in Pickens, the driver will transport students, program participants or visitors from program areas. Driver's will need to be available on Fridays and Sundays and drive locations will be in Upstate, South Carolina.

This would be a great opportunity for retired school district bus drivers.

*Duties include but are not limited to:*

-Drive vehicles, cars, buses to various sites for programing use

-Responsible for load safely secured and roadworthy before departure

-Visually inspect bus for any needed repairs/maintenance and complete any repairs/maintenance

-Ensure oil and filters have been changed in accordance with maintenance procedures

-Ensure tires are inflated and inspected for damage and are in good working order

*Minimum requirements:*

-Experience in operation or maintenance of heavy equipment, motorized vehicles or machinery that is directly related to the area of employment.

-Licenses- Driver’s License Class B CDL

*Preferred requirements:*

-Education- High School or Equivalent

-Work experience 2+ years

*Work Schedule:*

8 hours (temporary, as needed)

*Pay:*

$10-$12/hour based on experience
