Pay Rate: $35/hour

Our team has exciting opportunities for Braille Transcribers for the 2025–2026 school year! Quantum Resource Professionals is a leading provider of specialized educational and accessibility services, dedicated to supporting schools and organizations with highly skilled professionals. We connect talented Braillists with opportunities that make a meaningful impact in the lives of students who are blind or visually impaired.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe educational and instructional materials into braille (literary, Nemeth, tactile graphics, or music notation, depending on expertise)
• Ensure all materials meet Braille Authority of North America (BANA) standards
• Collaborate with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) and other educators to ensure accessibility of student materials
• Proofread and edit braille documents for quality and accuracy
• Organize and maintain electronic and embossed braille files
• Assist with production of tactile graphics and embossed materials as needed

Requirements

• Certification through the Library of Congress (NLS) or National Federation of the Blind (NFB) as a Braille Transcriber or similar certification
• Proficiency with braille transcription software and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with educational teams
• Experience in educational or accessibility settings preferred
• Newly certified transcribers are welcome to apply!
