This position is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repair of units. Ensure work is accomplished with high quality, in a timely fashion and is compliant with all company and federal regulations.
What You Will Do: \n - Test products for load capabilities, mechanical characteristics, polarity, voltage, amperage, inductance, shorts, grounds, circuits continuity and physical properties.
\n - Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits. This position requires troubleshooting to the component level.
\n - Perform routine repair activities on avionics equipment including surface mount and thru hole solder repair.
\n - Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
\n - Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources.
\n - Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department goal and objectives.
\n - Check work methods and results for conformance to standards.
\n - Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
\n - All aspects related to the process of repairs through the service center including: receiving, inspection, cleaning, tear-down, documentation, repair, reassembly and packaging of parts for return to the customer.
\n - Other duties as assigned.
\n - Frequent standing, sitting stooping.
\n - Occasional climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching.
\n - Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
\n - Comply with EH&S policies and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE. Attend EH&S trainings as required. Report unsafe practices and/or conditions to the appropriate individuals to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.

Qualifications You Must Have: \n - AAS degree in electronics and/or prior military experience.
\n - Requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
\n - U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer: \n - Knowledge of electronic theory including microprocessor based products.
\n - Must have an electronics background with 3-5 years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment.
\n - Ability to follow testing procedures and be proficient in performing the test.
\n - Demonstrated proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers including triggering, waveform capture and comparisons.
\n - Knowledge of electronic theory including microprocessor based products.
\n - The ability to give direction and guidance in electronic troubleshooting techniques and repair.
\n - The ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.
\n - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n - Attention to detail in order to ensure safety and quality.
\n - Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
\n - The ability to work in a team to support work capacity in a fast-paced environment.
\n - Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens and learning new software programs.
\n - Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
\n - The ability to take direction from more experienced coworkers, leads and supervisors.
