• Job Description : Futurewei has multiple openings for ARVR Research Intern. Candidates will be responsible for

• Conduct Research in one of the areas of spatial computing, distributed architect, computer vision, graphic rendering, avatar animation, AI/ML modeling, and other technical areas related to XR and Metaverse.
• A specific research topic will be identified in the above area, and aimed for independent research work that is suitable for academic publication of IEEE journals or/and conferences.
• Work closely with other team members, jointly prototype, implement and evaluate algorithms; and optimize application or algorithm performance through analysis, code refactoring, and system tuning.
• Some industrial and academic collaboration, and professional community involvement.

Requirements : Working towards MS & PhD in Computer Science, EE, or related fields Proven experience in academic research and publication Strong knowledge in software development in related fields with hands-on experiences Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: C/C , Python Proficient in at AI/ML, ideally familiar with some LLMs and image models such as SAM. Knowledge and hands-on experience in ARVR system, computer graphic, computer vision, or machine learning algorithms is a strong plus Experience in using common ML models are desired, particularly with LLMs, digital human models,and image and video models. Industrial experience a plus. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent oral and written communication skills and teamwork abilities Eagerness to learn new technologies Futurewei Technologies
