Job Title: Aircraft Technician

Job Description

Perform line maintenance at ORD for major carriers, specifically working on Airbuses, 747's, ERJs, and CRJ's. The role involves on-call and scheduled maintenance work on various aircraft, ensuring airworthiness and returning aircraft to service.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases within the scope of approval.
• Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and associated components to meet deadlines and performance goals.
• Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components according to approved technical data.
• Ensure all departing aircraft are safe per FAR’s and air carrier/manufacturer manuals and document all work performed.
• Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.

Qualifications

• A&P License
• Driver License
• Own tools (tool list available)
• 1 year of experience

Work Environment

Work primarily outdoors with a vehicle provided for maintenance tasks. Training is conducted in an office near the airport before transitioning to independent work. Night shifts are available, either 4 days with 10-hour shifts or 3 days with 12.5-hour shifts, including overtime opportunities. Shifts for Contour run Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday from 8:00pm-6:30am.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
